Application
RoofRite roof insulation may be used under fully adhered,
looselaid, ballasted or mechanically fastened single-ply roofing
systems. RoofRite and Roof Board may be used as a general purpose
insulation recovery board separating new from existing reroofing
construction and under conventional built-up and modified bitumen
roofing systems.
When used in a reroofing application, remove all loose and protruding
gravel and other debris from the existing roof. Deck must be dry
and any wet areas in the old roof must be removed and replaced
before new application.
Apply only as much insulation as can be covered by the roof membrane
in the same day. Panels must always be stored and applied dry.
Notes:
1. Use only High Density Grade 2 woodfiber roofboard (as referenced
in ASTM C208-95) under fully adhered single ply systems.
2. Do not apply flame directly to roof insulation when installing
a modified bitumen system.
Warning: Woodfiber may smolder or ignite if exposed to open flame. |
